Product description

GIOVANNONI VERMOUTH SECO - EXTRA DRY - 0,75L - ARGENTINA

Elegant Vermouth Seco based on a white wine made from Torrontés grapes. Extra dry.

Aroma
Aromas of peach, grapefruit, mirabelle plum, lemon, plus a nice undertone of cloves - in between you almost think you can smell fruit juice. Wormwood and a note that is difficult to define, reminiscent of spicy vanilla, push ahead.

Taste
Spicy and bitter lemon peels welcome with a less sweet and fruity impression than the nose suggests (also compared to Vermouth Rosso de Mayo Giovannoni). Cooked quinces and plums mingle with a deep, bitter taste reminiscent of root tea. A very complex and beautiful vermouth.

Finish: Complex bitter notes with grapefruit peel, surprisingly persistent.

The Giovannoni vermouth is the new creation of Argentina's most famous mixologist, Renato "Tato" Giovannoni, owner and head barman of the Florería Atlantico bar in Buenos Aires, which is regularly confirmed as the best bar in Latin America and voted one of the 50 best bars in the world by the Drinks International jury becomes. After the Príncipe de los Apóstoles Mate Gin, with which he had already captured the most typical aromas of Argentina in a spirit, vermouth was the clear next step in having a perfect mixing partner for cocktails.

Same son of Italian immigrants in Argentina, but the aperitivo culture is also part of "Tato" and so the vermouth is not only perfect for mixing with the Apóstoles Gin, but also simply pure and on ice as an aperitif - the appetizing glass before the food.

The Giovannoni Vermouth Rosso is made on the basis of a red wine made from Bonarda grapes, which is flavored with the obligatory wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) and other indigenous herbs and spices from Argentina. Incidentally, the Bonarda grapes are selected by the Argentinian star winemaker Matías Michelini.

This second version of the 2021 harvest has 53.3g residual sweetness per 1 liter and is therefore already in the "semi-dry" category (from 50g to 90g per liter), but is clearly on the dry side of this market segment, where there is often no indication of the Sugar content takes place and values of well over 150g per liter are not uncommon. Since the herbs and spices are only mechanically filtered out of the wormwood, the wormwood is slightly cloudy.

If you don't drink the bottle straight away after opening it, you should store it in a cool and dark place in order to preserve the aroma and taste as best as possible.
