Important Notes for "Deliveries to Switzerland":

Dear customers from Switzerland,

we are delighted about your interest in our products! Please note that special regulations and duties apply to the import of goods into Switzerland, which we would like to transparently outline for you.

Duty-free allowances for alcoholic beverages:

  • Alcohol content up to 18% Vol. (e.g., wine, beer): Up to 5 liters per person are duty- and tax-free.

  • Alcohol content over 18% Vol. (e.g., gin, whisky, spirits): Up to 1 liter per person is duty- and tax-free.

Additional charges for exceeding duty-free allowances:

For any quantity exceeding the personal duty-free allowance, the following costs apply, which are to be paid directly upon import into Switzerland:

  1. Alcohol Tax (Branntweinsteuer):

    • The current rate is 29 CHF per liter of pure alcohol.

    • Example (for spirits like gin with 40% Vol.): An additional approx. 11.60 CHF alcohol tax applies per liter of the beverage (0.4 liters of pure alcohol x 29 CHF).

  2. Swiss Value Added Tax (MWST):

    • The current standard rate of 8.1% is calculated on the value of the goods, including the already paid alcohol tax.

Declaration obligation:

Please note that you must always declare imported goods unsolicited upon entry into Switzerland.

Important Notes for "Deliveries to Great Britain" (United Kingdom) after Brexit:

Dear customers from Great Britain,

following the UK's withdrawal from the EU, special customs and tax regulations apply to deliveries from Germany to Great Britain. To ensure maximum transparency, we would like to inform you about the most important points:

  • Customs and Import VAT: Shipments from the EU to Great Britain generally incur customs duties and UK import VAT. These are levied directly by the British customs authorities and are to be paid by the recipient upon import. The amount depends on the value of the goods and the type of products.

  • No German VAT: Since this is an export, we do not show any German VAT on your invoice.

  • Customs Documents: We take care of the correct creation and attachment of all necessary customs documents (e.g., commercial invoice).

  • Delivery Delays: Occasionally, delivery delays may occur due due to customs checks. We kindly ask for your understanding in this regard.

Source of Information:

We strongly recommend that you inform yourself about the current and detailed regulations directly with the British customs authorities (HM Revenue & Customs - HMRC) before placing your order, to avoid any surprises.
