Product description

KUNA - CAP 100% BABY ALPALA WOLLE - PERÚ

Kuna is Peruvian lifestyle inspired by the unique textile heritage of the Inca culture.
The wonderful bright colors, fabrics and the excellent quality of the fine natural fibers alpaca, vicuna and pima cotton make this clear. KUNA combines the skill and traditional knowledge of Andean textile artisans with the latest technology and contemporary designs. The Peruvian quality brand is part of the Inka Group, a pioneer in the trade and export of alpaca products. Years of experience in selecting the finest fibers from New World camelids, developing finely spun yarns and producing premium textile products allows KUNA to have precise control over the entire production process. KUNA guarantees ethical business practices and thus a value chain that brings people and nature into harmony.

KUNA participates in various social projects for the benefit of the Indians, such as teaching textile handicrafts, breeding alpacas and providing information on environmental protection issues. KUNA donated alpaca yarn to a remote mountain village and taught knitting techniques to 117 mothers. 750 school children could look forward to a new alpaca sweater, while the mothers received wages for their work and thus had an additional source of income with the craft they had learned.

In March 2010, Incalpaca (the parent company of KUNA) received an award from the prestigious Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI) for its exemplary social responsibility and commitment in Latin America. In September 2011, the Peruvian President honored the company's social commitment and quality management with the prestigious Premio Presidente de la República.

We are happy to bring this unique lifestyle to Europe and invite you to become part of the KUNA lifestyle - discover and enjoy the textile world of the Andes.

Alpaca wool is wonderfully heat-regulating and has excellent thermal properties.

The hollow fibers of alpaca wool can absorb 25% moisture and release it to the outside in a regulated manner. This property keeps the body warm and creates a unique feel-good climate.

The alpaca fiber is extremely light compared to sheep or cotton and is therefore very comfortable to wear, even directly on the skin.

The thin fiber creates another positive side effect.

The other advantages of alpaca wool are its antibacterial effect and it is antistatic. It should also be mentioned that alpaca wool is flame retardant due to its biochemical composition, does not melt and offers protection against UV radiation.
