Malecon
This rum is also the oldest of its range and is made according to a Cuban recipe. At that time, under the socialist revolution (Castro and Ché), the motto was “revolución o muerte” (the slogans are still on some walls today). Well, many of the expropriated plantation owners and rum manufacturers preferred a third variant, the escape from Cuba with their know-how and their recipes. That is why there are some sugar cane spirits with a Cuban history, especially when it comes to Caribbean rums.
