Red with purple tints, Apaltagua Reserva Merlot has notes of raspberries and cassis cream. The aroma is of great intensity with touches of fresh fruit and a slight note of spices. The palate is elegant, and medium-bodied. It has soft and round tannins with a touch of wood that gives it elegance and a persistent finish.
All our vineyard is cared for and managed with affection and respect for the natural environment that surrounds it. The grapes grown for our Apaltagua Reserve Merlot come from a vineyard of 60 hectares of 14 years of age in the Colchagua Valley, located in the commune of Palmilla. Harvested by hand, the grapes are transported in 400kg bins so that the clusters do not squeeze. This way, the organoleptic quality of the grape is preserved. The yields are around 10,000 - 11,000 kg / hectare.
