Product description

"MASSIMO DEICAS" TANNAT CRU - URUGUAY 2010

Juanicó is Uruguay's tannat specialist, which the Deicas family impressively demonstrates here. The yield of the very densely planted Tannat vines is extremely low, only 2,000 kg per hectare are harvested. The unfiltered wine is accordingly concentrated, with an opulent aroma of tobacco, dark fruits, jam, liquorice and subtle oak notes.

Colour
Massimo Deicas has an intense dark red color and shows its aging potential, whereby the purple hues are retained despite the passage of time.

Aroma
As a great aging tannat, this wine offers an intense and complex aroma of great finesse that combines notes of black fruits, jams and liquorice with a very fine hint of oak.

Taste
On the palate it is powerful, generous, shows volume and persistence. Due to its coastal origin, it retains a lively freshness that ensures slow and noble aging.

Character
Great elegance, good, ripe tannins, a suitable acidic nerve and a lot of power, fullness and length

30% of the wine is matured in a stainless steel tank, 30% in clay amphorae, 20% in new French oak barrels and 20% in first-time barrels.
