Yellow corn tortillas Komali 15 cm 500 g (approx. 20 pieces). Ideal for enchiladas, tacos flautas and quesadillas.
Nixtamal is used for the production, not conventional corn flour. For Nixtamal, the corn is boiled in water with lime, husked and then ground. This is a very old process of the Mesoamerican peoples and gives the corn, and thus also the tortillas, a special taste.
Komali does not manufacture in Mexico, but uses 100% maize for its production from Mexico, guaranteed without genetic manipulation. Komali would like to bring its European customers closer to the wonderful taste of the Mexican corn tortilla and produces strictly according to traditional Mexican recipes. Gluten free. Vacuum packed, please use within 4-5 days after opening. Also suitable for freezing.
A hotplate ("Comal", available in our "Kitchen Utensils" category) or a flat pan is best for heating the tortillas. Sprinkle the plate with a little water, so the tortilla regains its original moisture content.
