Ina Beissner was born in Peru as the daughter of a German and a Dominican. "I grew up between Germany and South America, we moved a lot because my father worked in the pharmaceutical industry and was often transferred," she says. After graduating from high school in Mexico it was clear to her that she wanted to study fashion design. And in Berlin. "My father is a Berliner, the city has always been my second home." So in 2000 she moved to the Spree and attended the International Fashion School of Fashion Esmod for three years. "For my diploma collection, I also designed a small jewelry collection that came off better than the actual fashion collection," she recalls. So in 2005 she went to Milan for a one-year jewelry design course at Instituto Europeo di Design (IED).
