AROMATHERAPY
Because volatile aromatic compounds move quickly through the air, you can experience the scent as the compounds interact directly with sensors in your brain. Over 3,000 types of volatile aromatic compounds have been discovered to date. Good to know, then, that these compounds greatly influence the benefits, aroma, and nature of each essential oil. Due to its unique chemical composition, each essential oil varies from species to species and even from plant to plant. The delicate ratio of the aromatic components of each essential oil makes it unique and gives it special benefits.

First of all, it is important to know that not all essential oils are created equal. The purity of an oil can vary depending on geography, distillation methods, weather, and other factors. And no matter how carefully a plant is selected, tended, and harvested, the quality of its essential oil can either be preserved or destroyed during the distillation process. The attention to detail and precision required in distillation makes it less of a process and more of an art form. Distillers need to be precise and pay careful attention to harvesting methods, temperatures, distillation times, pressures, etc.

External use

Topical application of essential oils is very effective. Because essential oils have a low molecular weight and are fat-soluble, they can easily penetrate the skin. After penetrating the skin, they stay in the respective region and act locally.

Even if essential oils are easily absorbed by the skin, the absorption capacity can still be increased. A gentle massage increases the blood circulation in the respective area, so the active ingredients are better distributed in the body. Use a carrier oil that can increase absorption. Especially in areas where your skin is dry or scaly. This moisturizes the skin and the oil does not evaporate as quickly.

To reduce the chance of skin irritation, it is advisable to use a carrier oil (e.g. Fractionated Coconut Oil). This is especially true for young and sensitive skin, when using an oil for the first time or if it is a very strong oil. The usual recommendation is to mix one drop of essential oil with three drops of carrier oil.

It is better to apply several small doses a day than a large amount once a day. Start with the smallest possible dose (1-2 drops). External application can be repeated every 4-6 hours as needed. Since every person is unique, the dose is not always the same. It depends on height, weight and general health.
