Poet´s cuisine of Chile - Cocina poética de Chile
This new work by Fundación Gourmet Patagonia has been recognized by Gourmand International in the category Best Gastronomic Writing of the World. This prestigious global event was attended by 206 countries and the awards ceremony was held on May 29 in Yantai City, China.
The Poetic Cuisine of Chile, with the support of the Illustrious Municipality of San Antonio and the San Antonio Port Company (EPSA), is a luxury edition that values the culinary culture of the Poets' Litoral. In addition to integrating the cuisine with the poetry of authors based in the Province of San Antonio, this book presents the first gastronomic maps of each area, reviews of food production with more than 30 recipes interpreted by local chefs, harmonies with the best wines and National beers, information of the main destinations and characters, all in a photographic language that enhances the area as a must-see destination for gastronomic tourism.
For its author, the journalist Francisco Fantini, this new book represents a fresh look at what is happening in Chile today. "We are a poetic outbreak of the new spring in Chile, after a long winter of ignorance, pain and detachment. Our generation was born without fear and in this collective work we propose an inclusive development model, rooted in local communities and respectful of the environment, "says Fantini.
One of the outstanding participants in the Poetic Kitchen of Chile was the Sanantonino Mauro Pino, current chef of the Rincón del Poeta Restaurant located in the same house of the Nobel Prize Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra. "The cooks we are motors of local economies and in Chile we have to change the mentality regarding our profession and its impact in the surroundings. In our work we are ambassadors of the local cultures and in our decisions we represent the work of many compatriots whose work enriches our offer ", says the cook native of Lo Gallardo.
