Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
"The adventurous story of an obsessive love."
"Thrilling to the last page."
"The story of a destiny relationship. So sensual written that you can literally smell Lily's perfume. «
»The new novel by Mario Vargas Llosa lets you miss the stop, read the night and nibble on your fingernails. It is a love story that deals with obsession and self-abandonment and goes to heart. «
"Love piece for two, it's one of the best in South America in this category."
"With the 'bad girl' Vargas Llosa has created a fantastic novel character that makes the book alone worth reading: Seductive and beautiful on the one hand, freezing cold and almost repugnant brutal in their selfishness on the other side, a kind of female Mephisto. She does not stop at anything. "
"Overall ... The Bad Girl is a very readable novel about the pranks of love, about the fine line between truth and lies. Above all, however, the novel offers a stimulating reflection on literature in general, the novel in particular and above all on literary translation. «
