Where do the beans for the fair trade coffee "Yungas" come from?
The varietal, rich country coffee comes from organic farming in the Yungas region at altitudes 1600-1850 m. Yungas is a mountainous region on the eastern edge of the Andes, which can only be reached from Bolivia's capital La Paz by four to five thousand meter high passes. Its tropical climate gives an idea of the nearby Amazon and is ideal for growing particularly full-bodied Arabica. This has made the small farmers from the town of Caranavi famous and paved the way for them through the cooperative Montãna Verde in the Fair Trade.

Not every coffee is the same - therefore no uniform dosage instructions can be given! Coffee is a very sensitive food. The taste depends strongly on the water quality and preparation. Experiment with the dosage of coffee - a spoon more or less can cause huge differences. Usually applies to our high-quality GEPA coffee: less is more!
Whether filter coffee, fully automatic or filter holder - the personal taste determines the brewing process. Try coffee with a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla - delicious!
A tip from our coffee lab: Store coffee always cool, odor-free and dry - preferably in a light and hermetically sealed can. Like any fresh food, it's the best way to preserve its aroma!
